Occasionally, I browse the Apps Drawer on my Android gizmos. It never ceases to surprise me when I find something new, something that wasn’t there last time that I checked. The most recent example of which is the Street View app.

Windows Backup Woes

I highly recommend that you perform some type of backup. Windows Backup is almost a good program. Its major weakness remains that once your external backup drive gets full, Windows Backup is utterly helpless. That sucks.

Folder Insanity Explained

I’m a big fan of information organization. When it comes to a computer, you use folders to organize your files. Folders can contain other folders, and you can toss in some shortcuts or aliases to help deal with files that could dwell in multiple locations. All that makes sense, but it’s not really how Windows presents files and folders.

Google Maps Update

Google continues to improve its Android apps, specifically the Maps app. It’s really come a long way, especially the offline maps feature, which can be used for navigation. That feature has finally been given a position of prominence.

Stop Reminding Me to Update to Windows 10!

You have Windows 7. You love Windows 7. You don’t want to upgrade to Windows 10, yet Microsoft has stealthy installed a program in Windows 7 that keeps bugging you to do so. It’s annoying. Apparently Microsoft hasn’t learned the lesson that “No means NO!”

Google Calendar Update

The latest update to the Google Calendar app offers a new feature: You can now set reminders. These mini, non-events are better than tasks and not as complex as full-on scheduled events.
