July 29, 2016SPECIAL – Windows 10 Do-or-Die DayJuly 28, 2016Adding a Simple Image CaptionIn an earlier post, I made a video on how to stick an image into a document at a simple level. At the same basic level, you can quickly add a caption below the image. It’s not a clever trick, but it’s something that requires a few extra steps when you want to do it correctly.

July 26, 2016Replacing the Graphics CardAs I predicted in the last blog post, my son’s PC received a new graphics adapter. Unlike the old one, this newer model featured 2GB of graphics memory. It also sports two fans, and to us that feature was appealing because we figured the issue was the system overheating. We were wrong. July 21, 2016Replacing a Power SupplyAfter two days, a new 500W power supply was delivered to my abode. My son and I took no time to install the beast into his PC. July 7, 2016The Day I Wanted to Compute OutsideIt was a warm summer day. The sun was high in the sky. I was hot inside (no air conditioning), and the outside deck was so inviting. So rather than say in the dimly-lit apartment, I prepared for my first computer adventure outside. Ho-boy! It was going to be fun.

July 5, 2016Get Windows 10 Nag Nag NagI believe I may have received the final Windows 10 upgrade warning. It was up on my Windows 7 PC screen this morning, shiny and bright. The question is, if I decline now, will it continue to bug me? Is the nightmare finally over? July 4, 2016Wamblog UpdateThis blog has been up for over 8 years now. Minus a few instances where I’ve taken a week or two off, it’s been really consistent. Posts have arrived three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. With over 1,600 posts on the blog, that’s a lot of material.
