Think about it: You go to work for an online “newspaper,” which is really a blog. And then they pull the plug. What happens to the millions of words written, the documentation, the history, the feeling that the publication brought? It’s all flat-out gone forever.

The other day I was delighted to find Microsoft Office apps in the Google Play Store. Being a Word maven, I obtained the Microsoft Word app for my tablet. It was free. That was the best part. Then the experience started to go downhill.

“Eight hundred dollars! Are you serious?” Yes, Radio Shack was serious. That was the cost of upgrading my TRS-80 Model III with a floppy disk drive. The upgrade also boosted system RAM from 16KB up to the maximum 48KB. But I wanted that disk drive!
