It SIMs Like a Good Idea

Filed under: Main — Tags: — admin @ 12:01 am

Quite a few mobile devices come with a SIM card. It’s not a memory card, although the thing does have a few memory-card-like features. Still, it’s nothing to get excited about.

Google About to Babble

Filed under: News — admin @ 5:18 pm

Ha! I predicted this. In a recent book, I was writing about all the different chat feature Google offers. There’s Talk, Voice, Messenger, and Google+. I opined, “It wouldn’t surprise me if you see the Talk app go away in favor of some other, general chat app. Or it may just be replaced by Google+.” Apparently the path is now set, and the app is going to be called Babble.

Windows 8 Sucks I gave up writing Windows books a long time ago. It’s not that I wanted to.

The Street Rips into the Samsung Galaxy S4

Filed under: News — admin @ 5:17 pm

Seattle Bar Bans Google Glasses

Filed under: News — admin @ 10:17 pm

It had to happen. The $1,500 specs that keep your eyeball constantly connected to the Internet are instantly unpopular in a certain Seattle area bar. If only they would have thought of this when cell phones first came out.

A More Programmable Phone

Filed under: Main — Tags: — admin @ 12:01 am

Smartphones and tablets are really the next generation of computer. While it took them less time to find their niche than the microcomputers and PCs of the early 1980s, a step in that evolution is missing. That’s the ability to program your mobile device.

Robot Apocalypse (Again)

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

BRITAIN TARANIS I’ve written about robots coming to destroy us — yes, in jest — in a few of my books as well as this blog. It’s silly, sure; but it’s most likely going to happen and probably before anyone wakes up to realize it. Time to throw myself into Full Robot Panic Mode!
