Merry Black Friday

My son put it best: Christmas starts the day after Halloween. And Black Friday, supposedly the best shopping day of the year, doesn’t sneak up on anyone. The merchants have been touting it all month. It’s finally here.

Completely out of character, Google has distributed the Android 5.0 or “Lollipop” update to all Nexus devices. This renders my Nexus For Dummies titles instantly obsolete.

Re-Associating a File

When you use a program to create a file, that file is associated with the program. The link is made based on the filename extension, which is the last part of the filename appearing after the period. For example, .DOCX files are associated with Microsoft Word. That system isn’t the best, but it works. When it doesn’t, you can re-associate the files.

Booty From the Past

Recently I retired a few electronic goodies, sending them out to my office boneyard in the garage. While rearranging items to make room, I found an old IBM Laptop case. I became enchanted. “Hey,” I thought, “I wonder what’s inside?”
