Clean Up Your Address Book

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

Most of my work day is spent trying to avoid work. During one of my anti-work adventures, I stumbled across a necessary task that many of us often avoid more than we avoid work. Yet it’s avoided because few people remember to do it: Cleaning up your e-mail address book.

Boot Vista in 4 Seconds

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

There is no reason that computers take so long to start. In fact, the only reason it takes up to a minute (or longer) to start Windows Vista is because having a faster boot time is not a priority for Microsoft. It should be, as the ASRock Instant Boot program proves.

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

All Classroom, No Teacher

Adobe Flash CS3 Classroom in a Book
Yes, I both write and read computer books. In fact, I have quite a computer book library. A good title on my shelves is relished. Not every book is perfect, though. I’ve paid good money for books and been truly disappointed — and use that experience as motivation to write my own books better. Recently, I bought one of the Adobe Classroom in a Book titles. Printing Tiny E-mail Text

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

Who was the fool who decided that e-mail would be best sent using fancy “stationery”? I’m talking fonts, colored backgrounds, winky-bouncy-bubble heads — all that junk. While it may thrill you, it’s annoying readers like Bea, who finds the text sent to her in e-mail messages too tiny to print.
