The Other Way to Cast

A while back, I wrote a post on how screencasting works on an Android device. The technique describe does work, and it does broadcast your phone or tablet’s screen to a nearby TV or monitor. But as I get into a TV-less life, I’ve discovered that other, more common screencasting methods exist.

Offline Maps Navigation

Thumbprint Security

For a while now, I’ve been using thumbprint security on my Android phone. Specifically, it’s my Samsung Galaxy S6. While thumbprint security is an option for Android Marshmallow, my Nexus 5 phone (which was recently updated to Marshmallow) lacks a thumbprint reader. The Galaxy S6 features a thumbprint reader right on the Home button. So I thought that I’d try it out.

Android Email Settings

The Android mobile operating system keeps getting smarter and smarter. I’m blown away by some of the improvement, and looking forward to Android Marshmallow, coming sometime soon. What I’m eager to find out, however, is whether they’ve fixed the problem of locating email account settings.
