August 7, 2015Porn on the Early InternetI’ve read statistics that say up to 36 percent of all Internet traffic is consumed by pornography. Curiously up to 40 percent of evening Internet traffic is used by Netflix. Therefore, I calculate that the remaining 24 percent is used by people reading this blog. I might be mistaken.

August 5, 2015Here it is: 3D PornI’ve written about it before: Each new advance in communications technology is bolstered by pornography: Painting, printing, film, video, the Internet, and now . . . virtual reality.

August 3, 2015Win10 Battle: The Control Panel v. Settings AppConfiguring a PC isn’t something you plan on doing often. It’s a necessary task, a mundane, administrative chore. And in Windows 10, the go-to place for making settings and changing configurations is . . . well, there are two places. A majority of phones and tablets that access the Internet use a Subscriber Identity Module or SIM card. Its purpose is to provide an ID for your mobile device, one that’s used by a cellular provider to give the device service, a signal, and basically sort your phone or tablet out from the zillions of other phones or tablets. Oh, and it’s used to help with billing. So there’s that. My question is this: Does the mobile device really need a SIM card?
