Here Comes 5G Cellular Service

Coming soon, your phone will find a 5G signal. I don’t know the technical details enough to say whether your existing phone supports the service. To be safe, I’ll say, “No.” Anyway, by the time 5G rolls out, you’ll most likely have a new phone anyway. Hopefully it supports those fancy new 5G cell towers when they appear.

Setting the Ring Time

I remember having landline phones long before cell phones became popular. If you phoned someone, you could just let it ring and ring. Like when you knew Grandpa was out in the yard and it would take him a while to get in the house and answer. Yet, with today’s smartphones, if you don’t answer after a few rings, the call is sent to voicemail. Can that duration be changed?

Where is Tech Heading?

O, this industry was once so easy to predict: PCs would get more powerful, Laptops would get lighter, and everything would be cheaper. Now the PC is a commodity, basically as interesting as the old office typewriter, tablets are dying, laptops are for the cool kids, phones control the world. What in heavens is going on!
