This year saw the demise of PorchCam 2.3 and the birth of PorchCam 2.4. It also saw a software upgrade, so that the images are taken at given intervals instead of randomly as people visit the page. The result is an interesting collection of images that review the past year — quite a few of them, in fact.

December 18, 2017The Relentless Software Update CurveI just suffered through another Mac OS X upgrade and the question lingers, “Why?” The OS has been pretty darn stable. I can understand security patches coming out monthly, which is how the Android OS updates. But a new major version of the OS, plus several minor updates throughout the year, is making me weary.
