Assigning a Word Macro to a Button

I prefer using keyboard shortcuts for my macros, but there are only so many keys on the keyboard. The Ribbon, however, remains a vast, fertile land into which you can add all sorts of buttons, as does Word’s Quick Launch bar.

A Simple Word Macro

The first macros in Word were simple keyboard recorders. You turned on the Macro command and anything you typed was dutifully recorded for playback later. Such simple macros can still be created in Word.

Paragraph Formatting Dissection

A paragraph is anything from a single word to multiple run-on sentences. As master of those words, it’s your job to write them down and hopefully have them all make sense. As master of the document, it’s Word’s job to format that paragraph, adding space for readability as well as presentation.

Manage Templates in Word 2013

Recently, I upgraded one of my computers, replacing my copy of Word 2007 to the newest version, Word 2013. Everything worked well, and I find Word 2013 quite compatible with Word 2007. One thing I didn’t like, however, was that all my personal Word 2007 templates seemed to be missing.
