The word has gone out: If you use Windows and have installed Apple’s QuickTime player, uninstall it at once!
Apparently there’s a bug in QuickTime, a vulnerability that’s known and potentially puts your PC at risk. Because a new media player is under development, Apple isn’t patching any existing QuickTime installation. Instead, their advice is to uninstall the beast.
If you go to the Start menu, type QuickTime. You should see the Uninstall QuickTime program in the list. Choose it, and then follow the directions to remove the program.
