It’s not the last working Apple 1 computer, but it’s one of the last working models.
Who would have thought in 1976, when you could pick up a bag of parts for $666 and build your own Apple I computer, that if you kept the thing in pristine working order, you could sell that investment and buy a house with the proceeds.
For what it’s worth, $666 in 1976 dollars is worth about $2,800 in 2014 dollars. And, curiously enough, $360,000 in 2014 dollars would have been worth $86,000 in 1976. God bless the Steves.
