It’s time once again for me to peruse the hundreds of images captured by my front-door mounted web cam. Here are the highlights for 2013.
The Wambooli PorchCam sits above my front porch, pointing in whatever direction you want to turn it. An image is snapped whenever you come to visit, so the chances of capturing something interesting are pure luck. Still, over the past year, the camera has taken pictures of some interesting things.

First image of the new year. Someone pointed the camera at the front door at 11:35AM.

January 19, 25 degrees outside. Nice and sunny.

St. Valentine’s day, February 14. It’s starting to warm up!

The first day of spring, March 20th.

March 27, that’s me standing out with the street crew vacuuming up the storm drain.

March 29, I bought a new PC and hooked up the camera. It worked!

June 6th. The camera has a much better infrared cutoff filter than my old camera. This type of image is typically captured pre-dawn.

On June 7 my crazy neighbor lady friend posted something to my front door. See it?

Independence day. Lots of cars in the neighborhood to watch the fireworks display down by the beach.

Students walking to the college. Yes, my lawn does look nice. Leaves are starting to fall.

I took this picture. We had a cold snap (December 7). Earlier it was zero outside. This picture was taken when the temperature was 3ºF or -16ºC.
Along with the Gallery (above), I found two series of images worth keeping. These were sequential images taken during two events: My fixing a broken sprinkler head and two trees being removed. I animated them into two movies, shown below.
