Apple TV is supposed to be big. Not a big TV set, but something that moves the market. You’ll find lots of postulating in the article (link below). After playing with Internet TV for quite some time, I must say the thing it needs the most is a better interface. Typing search text using a TV remote sucks.

I remember hearing a talk by Gabe Newell recently that Apple is actually their biggest competitor in their future for new products because of their obvious next step to get into people’s living rooms with products like this.
If Apple found a way to make AppleTV a bigger experience (with more features, apps, etc) it would be a huge thing for them.

I like Steam, and I’m eager for Half Life 3, but that’s another story. I heard that they were going to do their own game box. I suppose Apple’s move into the living room my squelch that. Or, then again, who knows: Maybe Apple and Steam are working together on iTV?

That would be awesome, Apple has missed out on gaming for far too long. Im in the process of buying a Mac Mini right now so I say that as a Mac user. MS has just broken too much, I cant dev for it anymore.
