My Third New Book of the Year

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

First came Samsung Galaxy Tab For Dummies. Then the Troubleshooting & Maintaining Your PC All-In-One For Dummies. Now: HTC ThunderBolt For Dummies. And the year ain’t over yet!

I love the ThunderBolt. It’s a 4G phone, and if you have a 4G signal in your area, it’s smokes. That’s great! Battery life? Not so great.

Still, the phone is sexy. It has a marvelous HD screen and takes gorgeous pictures. I included a few of my pictures in the book, but the reproduction didn’t do the original image justice, even though the full color pictures in the book are pretty good.

I shan’t babble on about the phone, because if you have one you already know how sweet it is. If you don’t have one, then ensure that Verizon coughs up 4G service in your area, then buy my book and get the phone.

You can read about my 4G adventures in this blog post.

Hopefully, the 4G service populates all over, as common as 3G service is now. Then: Stand back. The 4G phone handsets will skyrocket in popularity. Especially with the ability to tether them to your desktop PC, or to create the 4G hotspot, you can ditch your Internet service at home and use your phone not only to get on the Internet, but to get your computer or laptop on the Internet as well.

As far as “phone books” go, I have a few more to come out this year. Yes, I’ve been busy. In fact, my guess is that I’ll have 7 titles published this year. That isn’t a record. Back in 1993, I wrote and had published 13 titles. Yes, three of those were co-authored titles, but still I don’t think I’ll break that record any time soon — if ever.
