Is your Hotmail password ilovecats
? If so, you should change it. Not because its a weak, common password, but because Hotmail has decided to boost password security. As such, they’re not letting users assign passwords like 123456
and password
and, of course, ilovecats
.

I still cant figure out why shutting off password access after a reaching a limit of the number of incorrect password attempts doesnt stop brute force password guessing attacks

On the Web, it’s not the limit on the password attempts but the limit on the number of incoming connections.
BTW, Google no longer allows you to use the word
google
in your password, even if that word is only part of the password!Comment by admin — July 16, 2011 @ 1:35 pm
