Some Common Sense for Hotmail Passwords

Is your Hotmail password ilovecats? If so, you should change it. Not because its a weak, common password, but because Hotmail has decided to boost password security. As such, they’re not letting users assign passwords like 123456 and password and, of course, ilovecats.

  1. I still cant figure out why shutting off password access after a reaching a limit of the number of incorrect password attempts doesnt stop brute force password guessing attacks

  2. On the Web, it’s not the limit on the password attempts but the limit on the number of incoming connections.

    BTW, Google no longer allows you to use the word google in your password, even if that word is only part of the password!
