IE Browser Use Falls Below 50%

Filed under: News — admin @ 9:26 am

At one time, over 80 percent of all World Wide Web traffic was handled by Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser. Not so anymore.

I mention this not to kick Microsoft in the shins, despite the pleasure most folks derive from that action. No, I mention it because to me it means that people are aware that there are options when it comes to computing. You don’t have to be stuck with the software that comes with your computer. Good news!

  1. Having ditched IE years ago due to it’s sluggishness and bloated behaviour I was interested to try IE9 to see if there is any difference only problem is I can’t get the dammed thing installed on my PC! Windows 7 just will not have it on mine. I have used it at work and it does seem a bit faster and less clunky but I have yet to try it out with all the aero peek enabled as the work PC is using sever 2008. I appear not to be the only person (according to what I’ve read on-line) who can’t get it installed on Windows 7 either, it is something to do with the updates. A bit of a typical Microsoft problem it won’t even install on its own operating system!
