Filed under: News — admin @ 5:47 am

A virus (worm, actually) is successfully spreading among Windows PC running Outlook. Deja vu? Sure! People just don’t pay attention . . .

  1. I guess some people still open spam emails. If I don’t recognise who it’s from it’s going in the trash. I keep noticing people I don’t know trying to ‘friend me’ on MSN instant messenger must be something similar, most of them look like links to porn sites, I delete them straight away.

  2. The problem with the Here You Have virus is that the messages came from trusted sources. Also, the viral attachment appeared as a link, not as an attachment. Very clever.

  3. Oh right that would probably fool me, there was something weird last month on facebook, which was fake postings sent from one of your friends, it was a link to a news article supposedly, it looked like it was posted because it had my friends feeds on it, luckily when I clicked my antivirus blocked the page, but I later found out that is was a net worm, it was very clever I thought, I also read the MCafee might be giving some kind of free software to people who are infected with it, before they will be allowed to use sites such as facebook again. A lot of people probably wouldn’t know they had a problem.
