I’m all A-Twitter.com

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

Almost immediately after succumbing to the seductive personal networking web site Facebook, I joined another, similar social networking site, Twitter.

Yes, as with Facebook, I expressed reservations upon joining Twitter. That horrid MySpace experience was coming back to haunt me. But Twitter isn’t exactly a social networking site as much as it’s a combination on-line chat room and public forum, mixed with an excellent signal-to-noise filter.

On Twitter, you tweet.

Mostly I use Twitter to philosophize.

One legitimate question I got was on a social networking site called tagged.com. Someone I know got an invite to Tagged.com and wanted to know if it was a legitimate social networking site or some kind of scam. Turns out that it’s the latter. But that’s the kind of way Twitter can be used.

The best thing about Twitter is that you’re limited to only 120 words to write whatever. There are no blogopotomuses on Twitter. That keeps it short a sweet. Plus you don’t have to hear everything; you need only follow those people you enjoy reading.

Check me out on Twitter: http://twitter.com/dangookin You do not need to be a member to read my posts. Another good thing!
