Microsoft Surface Shallow On Storage

Filed under: News — admin @ 9:12 am

It’s a given when you purchase digital storage that the actual storage you get is a hair less than what’s advertised. So those 1TB hard drives may have about 960GB of actual storage — something like that. Or, as another example, that 32GB Android tablet you purchased may have about 28GB of storage available. For most folks, that’s understandable and acceptable. But the Windows Surface tablet, the one they sell advertised at 64GB of storage? It comes with only 23GB available.

23GB out of 64GB?

iPhone Users Rack Up the Monthly Fees

Filed under: News — admin @ 8:10 am

Not only do they pay more for their phones, but the average monthly bills for iPhone owners are much, much higher than the average monthly bills for your typical Android phone owner. I’m not sure why, though I could probably fabricate some interesting explanations.

Your Second, More Portable Smartphone

The Ultimate Phone Accessory is here! And, of course, it’s another phone!

You need one of those, you know, so that you can be on Facebook, check your sports scores, and play Fruit Ninja while you’re on the phone. Makes sense.

Finally! The Nexus 7 docking stand is available. I’m not sure whether it’s worth it at $40. And it’s not available through the Play Store, not yet at least.

Think You’re Walking Undetected Through The Mall?

Filed under: News — admin @ 1:50 pm

Think again!

Apparently retailers at shopping malls, and probably in those Big Box stores as well, are snooping out smartphones with their Wi-Fi routers. They’re logging the MAC addresses of those cell phones, and maybe even tracking your movements through the store.

Are you creeped out yet?
