The Explorer is the name of the Windows file manager, also called Windows Explorer but not the same thing as Internet Explorer.

Once upon a time, download.com (I’m not linking to the site) was a reputable place to visit and pick up solid, virus-free, bloatware-downloads. It may still have the downloads. I’m pretty sure they’re virus-free. But the bloatware? Well, that comes in a wrapper.

If you’d have asked me, I’d say that you’re making something up when you mentioned “zombie cookies.” Turns out they’re real, they’re irremovable, and they often come from Microsoft.

Just about everyone knows how to “Google” something, and indeed the word Google has become synonymous with “search.” Even so, apparently too few people know that there is a common command Ctrl+F that can be used to find something in a document or on a page. How few? Try 90 percent of them.
