Moron Windows 8 Explorer

The Explorer is the name of the Windows file manager, also called Windows Explorer but not the same thing as Internet Explorer.

The Jobs Report

In case you haven’t read it, Steve Jobs this week announced he was resigning his position as CEO of Apple. He’d like to stay on as Chairman of the Board, and filling his position will be the able Tim Cook.

Download.com Turns Evil

Once upon a time, download.com (I’m not linking to the site) was a reputable place to visit and pick up solid, virus-free, bloatware-downloads. It may still have the downloads. I’m pretty sure they’re virus-free. But the bloatware? Well, that comes in a wrapper.

Presenting the New Save Icon

For a generation now, computers have used a disk icon to adorn the Save button in just about every program. That idea is silly and anachronistic, so I’ve come up with a replacement.

Why Johnny Can’t Ctrl+F

Just about everyone knows how to “Google” something, and indeed the word Google has become synonymous with “search.” Even so, apparently too few people know that there is a common command Ctrl+F that can be used to find something in a document or on a page. How few? Try 90 percent of them.
