The Internet is Almost Full!

Well, full of crap mostly, but what’s really cramping the Internet is a lack of IP addresses. The world is running out. Quickly! I last blogged about the ipv4 and ipv6 problem back in 2008. Could this be the real end of the Internet?

Once-Vital Utilities of Yesteryear

The year 1988 was quite a while back, over 20 years. Running a PC back then was different than it is today. Not only was DOS the king PC operating system, but there were a slew of utilities you routinely ran on your DOS computer, stuff that may seem trivial and stupid today.

YouTube Favs

The YouTube site does a pretty poor job of telling you which are the most-viewed videos of all time. For that information, you have to search Google.

Is China Spying on Your Gmail?

I saw one of these Gmail alerts, but it wasn’t a Chinese IP. Instead, it was my phone logging into read Gmail from a Wi-Fi network I don’t normally use. Obviously, if someone unsavory is accessing your mail, I would recommend changing your password immediately.

The Overlooked, Oft-Ignored References Tab

Tucked in the middle of the Word 2010/2007 Ribbon is a tab called References. It’s a big Why Bother item for most casual writers. For folks working on doctorates, thesis papers, political manifestos, and other big, scary documents, it’s an invaluable feature.
