I&#8217;m a writer. We both demand quality from our keyboards.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nI go with the Das Keyboard line of mechanical keyboards, which are expensive but set a level of quality higher than the sad membrane keyboards that come with most computers. Read my keyboard rant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wambooli.com\/blog\/?p=136\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even more expensive than the Das Keyboard, is the Razor Blackwidow keyboard, which my son purchased for his gaming needs. Like the Das Keyboard, the Razor is mechanical; the keys are pleasing to use and feature a delightful <em>click<\/em> as the mechanism engages. But more than the Das Keyboard, the Razor features a multicolor LED beneath every keycap.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the keyboard lights up, and not just all at once. It can generate patterns, which is fun, but it can also highlight specific keys for specific programs.
