The culprit? Declining sales to the consumer market.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThat&#8217;s you and me.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also what I&#8217;ve predicted: In the future, consumers will use their phones and tablets for just about all of the things they use PCs for today. Email. Facebook. The Web. Games. It&#8217;s all going over to mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>Face it: The PC would have died a lot sooner, but manufacturers were giving them away 15 years ago with &#8220;free&#8221; Internet service. Those systems are dying now and not being replaced.
