Once upon a time you could import music from your PC into your Android device. Not any more!<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nFor some reason, the Play Music app no longer supports the WMA (Windows Media Audio) files.<\/p>\n<p>The Play Music app is Google&#8217;s own jukebox app for all Android devices.<\/p>\n<p>WMA files are what Windows natively uses to store music for the Windows Media Player.<\/p>\n<p>The net effect is that if you want to import music from your PC into your Android phone or tablet, it&#8217;s just going to be a lot of effort for nothing. The music won&#8217;t play.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe how rude Google would be to sack all the music you&#8217;ve already stored on your PC, effectively sabotaging its transfer into your mobile device. It&#8217;s an obvious ploy to get you to, once again, buy the same music you&#8217;ve already paid for. But this time, of course, you&#8217;re buying it from the Google Play Store.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure the artists are thrilled, as are Google&#8217;s stockholders.
