This is petty. Once upon a time you could import music from your PC into your Android device. Not any more!

\nFor some reason, the Play Music app no longer supports the WMA (Windows Media Audio) files.<\/p>\n
The Play Music app is Google’s own jukebox app for all Android devices.<\/p>\n
WMA files are what Windows natively uses to store music for the Windows Media Player.<\/p>\n
The net effect is that if you want to import music from your PC into your Android phone or tablet, it’s just going to be a lot of effort for nothing. The music won’t play.<\/p>\n
I can’t believe how rude Google would be to sack all the music you’ve already stored on your PC, effectively sabotaging its transfer into your mobile device. It’s an obvious ploy to get you to, once again, buy the same music you’ve already paid for. But this time, of course, you’re buying it from the Google Play Store.<\/p>\n
I’m sure the artists are thrilled, as are Google’s stockholders. I’m not thrilled.<\/p>\n
