There were other magazines as well, lots of them.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the magazines were specific to your computer: <em>PC World<\/em>, <em>PC Computing<\/em>, <em>PC Magazine<\/em> for the PC; <em>Nibble<\/em>, <em>InCider<\/em>, <em>SoftTalk<\/em> for the Apple II; <em>MacWorld<\/em> and <em>MacUser<\/em> for the Macintosh; <em>Compute!<\/em> for just about everything else.<\/p>\n<p>There were also computer news magazines like <em>InfoWorld<\/em>, nerd-specific magazines like <em>Dr. Dobb&#8217;s Journal<\/em>. Oh, and some magazines like <em>Computer Shopper<\/em> that occasionally were as thick as a phone book. I&#8217;m not kidding.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway.
