It’s based on the original VisiCalc program from the late 1970s. A unique concept.

Spreadshirt isn’t a thing, it’s a web site. Specifically, it’s a web service that lets you design your own T-shirts.

Normally I don’t plug things like Spreadsheet. In fact, I can promise you that they didn’t give me a coupon, discount, or even send me a press release. No, I actually used Spreadshirt this Christmas to design my own t-shirt gifts.

I enjoy giving out whacky t-shirts. I go to ThinkGeek and other sites and buy some of their funky and funny shirts. But often they’re boring. I can think up better phrases and things to put on t-shirts myself. So I discovered Spreadshirt.

Not only does Spreadshirt let you design your own Ts, it’s cheap. I paid just a hair over $10 for each shirt I had made. Compare that with about $20 per shirt for those other t-shirts you see advertised on the Web, and Spreadshirt is a heck of deal.

The shirts are nice, as well: sturdy cotton. The printing is silkscreened, not some heavy “bullet proof” iron-on.

Besides creating and buying shirts, you can also open your own Spreadshirt store. I’ve done that, and eventually plan on adding a link here on Wambooli to my t-shirt store.

Right now, the t-shirt store is in its infancy. If you want to check it out, visit http://wambooli.spreadshirt.com. And if you want to open your own store, have at it and have fun.

[3

post-2521","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-main
["GET
