I’m a C language fanatic. It’s my language of choice, primarily because I have books and online courses about teaching C, as well as the Unofficial C For Dummies companion website. It’s good to keep up my knowledge, but like many programmers, I yearn to know another tongue.

Android POP3 Email Coordination

Filed under: Main — Tags: — admin @ 12:01 am

A POP3 email server is the kind used by most ISPs (Internet Service Providers) for email delivery. For sending mail, the SMTP protocol is used. Filed under: Main — Tags: — admin @ 12:01 am

This year saw the demise of PorchCam 2.3 and the birth of PorchCam 2.4. It also saw a software upgrade, so that the images are taken at given intervals instead of randomly as people visit the page. The result is an interesting collection of images that review the past year — quite a few of them, in fact.

I can understand security patches coming out monthly, which is how the Android OS updates. But a new major version of the OS, plus several minor updates throughout the year, is making me weary.
