Word Twenty-Ten

They did it again: Microsoft has updated their Office suite, which includes yet another update to the popular Word word processor. This new version of Word carries on with the Ribbon interface made so unpopular in Word 2007. So if you didn't upgrade to Word 2007, you'll probably get Word 2010. It's a little better, has some more logical features, plus some customization. My book covers all that new stuff in a friendly, lighthearted manner that helps ease your frustrations and anxieties.

Laptops Times Fourth

I listened! This time around the latest, greatest, fourthest edition of Laptops For Dummies covers Windows 7, Windows Vista and even a smidgen of Windows XP. In this book you'll find all the information on using your mobile computer, including information on netbooks, tablet computers, plus all the latest on wireless networking and computing on-the-go. Mix in the humor and fun you'd expect, and it's a heck of an update to a very popular title.

PCs For Dummies Windows 7 Edition (12th Edition)

With the new 12th edition of PCs For Dummies, the publisher has opted to drop that whole "edition" thing and instead concentrate the book on which version of Windows it covers. So this book is the Windows 7 edition of PCs For Dummies. But don't fret! It's not totally Windows 7-oriented. The book also covers Windows Vista and a wee bit of Windows XP. Still, it's a hardware book and good general reference for anyone wanting get more from their personal computer.

Troubleshooting to the Sixth Power

A lotta book for a lotta trouble! This massive tome took me a goodly amount of time to write. I'm pleased with the results: nearly 800 pages containing six different books on six different types of computer trouble. As anyone who uses a PC knows, there can't be a book thick enough on solving the pesky PC problems.

Bonus: The book comes with a DVD full of handy how-to videos and other helpful information. Such a deal!

New Book for New Trouble

The 3rd Edition of Troubleshooting Your PC For Dummies is geared completely toward Windows Vista. Inside you'll find tips and suggestions for getting your ailing PC back on track. Plus you'll discover the wealth of worthy troubleshooting and PC diagnostic tools available exclusively to Windows Vista.

If you still have Windows XP, get the 2nd Edition. Yes, it's still available.
