How to Get Back Your Beloved Save All Command in Word 2007

Where is it? Where is the Save All command? I remember it from earlier versions of Word, but it's gone in Word 2007! What was Microsoft thinking?

While the keyboard shortcut for Save All is gone (Shift+Ctrl+S), you can easily add the Save All command to the Quick Access Toolbar in Word 2007. Here's what you do:

TriangleClick the menu button to the right of the Quick Access toolbar.

TriangleChoose More Commands from the menu.

The Word Options dialog box appears.

TriangleFrom the Choose Commands From list, select All Commands.

TriangleScroll down through the list to locate the Save All command

The commands are listed alphabetically. (It's a long list.)

TriangleClick the Add button to place the Save All command onto the Quick Access Toolbar list.

TriangleOptionally, you can change the icon's position using the Up or Down arrows to the right of the list.

TriangleClick the OK button.

The Quick Access toolbar has now been modified to include the Save All icon. The change affects all your documents in Word.

To add the Close All command to the Quick Access toolbar, just repeat these steps, but choose Close All instead of Save All.
