The Apps Organizer

A great tool for keeping the bazillions of apps on your phone organized is to get another app! In this case, it's an app called Apps Organizer. If you're fussy about keeping things organized, if you like a clean desktop on your PC, and if you're obsessed with folders and file organization, you're going to love Apps Organizer.

The Apps Organizer allows you to tag all the apps in your phone. You can use preset categories, like Android or Tools, or you can create your own categories like News, Shopping, or Music.

After tagging you apps, the next step is to create specialized Apps Organizer shortcuts on the Home screen. The shortcut is created just like creating any shortcut; refer to Chapter 21 in the book for details.

When you touch an Apps Organizer shortcut, a special folder window appears, from which you can choose an app to launch. Because you've tagged your apps, only those apps that match the tag you've chosen appear in the shortcut.

The Apps Organizer is a great tool. Check it out at the Android Market.
