Subject: Word - Save As
I recently had Works 2000 installed on my system. My problem is this: After a document is saved in Save As how in the world can it be reopened? I have Windows 98 and can retrieve all documents from the C drive and save it in My Documents with no problem at all but I cannot open documents I have saved in Save As. I would appreciate a step by step instruction because I am going crazy with this. Thank you.
(And please remember that I don't have to reply to this. I do not cover Works in any of my books; I am not obligated in any way to send even a plea to subscribe to the newsletter here. But I do reply, out of the goodness of my heart and on my own time not to mention the same day that the reader wrote in with the question.)

You can always use the Find/Search command to locate any new files created in the past day or so, which should find the file instantly. Otherwise, doesn't Works display a list of recent files when it's first opened?
I apologize, but I'm not a Works user. I'm generally familiar with the program, but not intimate with it. Also, when you use the Save As dialog box, be sure that you save in the My Documents folder or in a specific subfolder inside that folder. That way the file should be easy to find by opening the My Documents icon on the desktop.
