More Images from The Mikado

These are from the Friday night performance on February 2, 2002. As usual, this should take some time to load. Be patient.

An update to my makeup, courtesy of George.
Just your typical green-eyed, Centauri-haired, Japanese Executioner!

The following shots were taken during the run of the show. Stage Manager Chris sneaked out and sat in the audience for part of the second act.

I welcome the Mikado to Titipu.

My line is, "I am honored at being permitted to welcome Your Majesty." One night, when I wasn't feeling well, I said, "I am honored at being permitted to welcome Your Holiness," after which I busted up laughing thinking of how I could confuse the Mikado with the Pope. (Fortunately it was a dress rehearsal.)

(Weird how the digital camera misinterpreted the Mikado's red clothes as yellow above. I've seen it do that before.)

With merry song and dance...

Pooh-Bah (left) and I convince Nanki-Po to fake his own death in order to save my butt.

Pooh-Bah (Michael) and Katisha (Karen) backstage.

A rare look at the show from backstage.

The chorus is welcoming the Mikado (above), while Pitti-Sing, Pooh-Bah and myself wait to come on. I don't know who that is above, but he's missing one shoe. Teenagers...

Another common view I have of the show.

That's Pish-Tush (Darin) above, waiting to make an entrance. Yes, we wave at each other and make faces across the stage.
