Windows 9 Expectations

Filed under: News — admin @ 7:47 am

InfoWorld takes a sneak peak at Windows 9. In about two weeks, the “beta” is officially unveiled. Then we’ll all know what Microsoft has in store for the next Windows release.

My suggestion for Windows 9’s real name: Windows Apology.

  1. Oh, in other words Win7 + a bit(?), my feeling was PC weren’t selling so the feel at M$ was Tablets, Mobile that’s what people want! Vista (or as I think of OSX for PC’s) didn’t sell, lets try XP+ (or Win 7) which did a bit better, lets try the new OS for our tablets (Win 8) which sold better than Vista. PC weren’t selling because no one had the money to buy a new one. It wasn’t that Windows wasn’t wizzy enough!

  2. Actually, I think that PC sales are down because people figured out that they don’t need one. Most people can get by with a tablet or a cell phone. They don’t need PC power. When one of the major manufacturers realize that, they can work again to make the PC (or any desktop) the workhorse it was intended to be and not this loopy touchy-feely thing it’s become.
