Will Apple put ads into its OS X operating system?

Apply has applied for a patent to put advertising — obnoxious and in-your-face ads — into its operating systems. I’ve been using Apple stuff for over 20 years now. If they follow through with this, then I am instantly a former Apple user, swear-to-God.

  1. Steve Jobs is approaching the level of idiocy that only one other man has reached: Robert Kotick. Who could possibly think that a consumer would want this?
    (Robert Kotick the CEO of Activision, the one that fired the heads of Infinity Ward and then sued them for all of their money and intellectual and creative rights to the Modern Warfare series. He’s also into forcing people to pay huge fees to play online games. Word on the street is that Black Ops has a membership system in it.)
