I’ve Been Workin’ on the Website

Filed under: Main — admin @ 12:01 am

Every so often, I read up on various web page design and publishing technologies, then I turn to this website and review what I’ve done and try to make it better. It’s a not something I get paid for, but I try to excel in everything I do.

A good writing day is one when I can pound out the words, hour after hour, all while standing at my PC. It’s fun! I enjoy my job, especially when I spend most of my day writing. That’s not always the case.

MS-DOS Finally, Finally Put Out to Pasture

Filed under: Main — Tags: — admin @ 12:01 am

It’s been years since Microsoft last released MS-DOS; I believe version 6.22 in 1993 was the final standalone version. Microsoft dropped all support for DOS quite some time ago. Still, Windows versions 95, 98, and ME were based on DOS. Even after those versions, the command prompt lingered on in Windows as the CMD.EXE program. Now that remnant about to vanish.

At the new year dawns, it’s time for me to look forward. What wonders will the tech world bestow upon us mortals? What fantasies are to be realized? And will the warranties be worthy? It’s prediction time.
