January 18, 2016The Folder ViewThe name of the program that displays files and folders in Windows 10 is called File Explorer. It was once called Windows Explorer. That keeps with Microsoft’s tradition of using the same or similar names over and over; they just can’t use the word “Explorer” enough, I suppose. January 15, 2016Windows 10 File Folder ToolsOver the last few incarnations of Windows, the file folder has changed dramatically. Gone is the old toolbar, replaced by the Ribbon. It’s a concept borrowed from the 2007 revision of Microsoft Office, and the Ribbon interface works really well as long as it doesn’t freak you out.
